RIBBON

RIBBON collection – a celebration of elegance and simplicity in a classic, timeless design. This series of bracelets, crafted in my atelier from 18kt gold, features diamonds, sapphires, rubies, and emeralds.

I love how each slender bracelet wraps around the wrist, bringing a refined touch with its simplicity. The gemstones’ colors are delicate, adding a hint of vibrance, like a fine ribbon on the wrist. While I love all five bracelets equally, I am particularly excited about the emerald bracelet paired with the pure gold band, and the diamond bracelet, which makes a beautiful match with other pieces in my collection. A mix of all five bracelets creates a look that’s both extravagant and chic.

SHORE

Crafted by hand in 18k gold at Rebekka Notkin Jewellery Atelier

SHORE is a tribute to life by the sea.

The wondrous mix of energy and slowness. And beauty. Beauty above all. The boat that elegantly cuts through the water.
The sail and the rope, bleached by the sun and hardened by the salt. The travel bag packed with hat, gold jewellery and a worn book.
The lapping of waves and shouts of joy. A game of chess in the shade to the song of the cicadas, an ice-cold drink at sunset, a close dance under the full moon.

I love the idea of getting on a boat on a day when the wind is perfect, the sail unfurls and the world is full of beauty. It was from that image that I created SHORE.” – Rebekka Notkin

NOMAD

A nomad is traditionally a member of a group or a community without a fixed habitation. A nomad travels from place to place during her life, often in a circle, returning to a place according to season and crops. A travel circle alone can last for years. Moving along, a nomad only brings with her what she can carry and what is meaningful for her physical survival or her identity. By always decorating herself or her tent in the same way, it will feel like it is the World which has moved, not her. Today, it is possible for mankind to move like travellers without a final destination. Never having to return to a specific place, never to close the circle. We have become modern nomads, travelling the World in an instant, reaching far destinations, being present everywhere. More than ever before, this has made us aware of who we are, no matter where we are; to close the circle within ourselves in lack of the outer. And for this we need physical reminders and symbols. Hence the ‘Nomad’ collection.

“A jewellery has always represented something more than its monetary value. It tells a story about heritage, special occasions, or goals achieved. To me, the ‘Nomad’ collection is all of this, with the heritage being the nomad people from which we all descend. The design is based on the circle in which the nomads originally travelled, but twisted, showing that nothing is a given.”

“I have been developing the ‘Nomad’ collection over the last year. Inspired by all the nomads having to rethink their lives these years, where the World is changing rapidly. Where should they go, while the whole World was standing still, closing the boarders, holding its breath? And it occurred to me, that what I needed myself was a symbol of strength, a talisman, a signature, rather than random accessories. With the ‘Nomad’ collection I want to share this possibility of bringing yourself, no matter where you go.”

CARVED

“I have drawn inspiration for the CARVED series from the art of bas-relief, which with only slight differences in projection from the background surface gives an illusion of depth and space. The design has been a tortuous process with studies along the way of volume, proportion and composition. The organic shapes and generous use of gold add a sense of freedom and beauty.”

TRAVEL JEWELLERY CASE

This is not just a box. It’s a travel companion.

A little piece of daily luxury — designed to stay with you for years to come.

For a long time, I’ve dreamed of creating the perfect travel jewellery case.

Not just for holidays, but for everyday life: something to keep my jewellery close, wherever I go — to the countryside, the studio, the gym, or simply out and about.

A box for my treasures. A way to carry a little beauty with me, always.

Handcrafted in the finest Saffiano Leather with its elegant texture and finish, this jewellery case is available in three timeless shades:

Classic Green. Deep Aubergine and Black — each with its own quiet confidence, designed to reflect your personal style and move with you through the day.

It’s been brought to life in a small workshop in Southern Italy.

Together with Lorenzo — a skilled craftsman with deep knowledge of leatherwork  — I’ve spent months refining every detail:the stitching, the zipper, the surface, the soft compartments made to hold your favourite pieces, reading glasses, charms… or that special stone you found on the beach.

SILVER TALES

Opening 6. October 2022

SILVER TALES – Karen Blixen” at Rungstedlund

Karen Blixen Museum, Rungsted Strandvej 11, Rungsted, Denmark

My Contribution to SILVER TALES, opening at Karen Blixen Museum October 2022  is ´Terrior´.  It is an interpretation of the long “pearl sautoir” Karen Blixen often wore and has become an iconic characteristic of her.

The ´Terroir´ consists of 15 unique “pearls”. Each with its own distinct fingerprint imprinted on the upper side, as if they were made of terracotta; burnt earth. The “pearls” are put together with a series of identical links, which form a slim and elegant chain.

My piece is inspired by Karen Blixen’s description of the culture and wild nature that she experienced in the highlands around the farm at Ngong in the years 1914 – 1931. She describes the colors and vegetation in the landscape around the farm as dry and burnt, like the color in a potter’s craftmanship, thus the reference to the “pearls” made in uneven shapes, which could be made of burnt earth and tied around the neck. – In the ´Terroir´ the burnt earth is refined in precious metals and with the long, slender expression that characterizes the “Charleston pearl necklaces” from the 1920s
